Insulated Glass
Insulated glass is one of the most efficient
ways to control the indoor environment of a building. Like other
types of insulation, insulating glass creates warmth in cold weather
and coolness in hot weather. Insulated glass can now also control
how much light and heat penetrate a building. When the sun tends
to hit a building at a relatively flat angle in the winter, insulated
glass can capture the heat. When the sun hits the same building
in the summer, those same glass panels will reduce heat build-up
inside the building.
LPG Insulating Glass is one of the highest quality insulating glasses available.
Dual sealing couples the usual Polysulfide or Silicone seal with a primary Polyisobutylene
(PIB) seal. Architects, builders and glazers rely on LPG Insulating glass to
provide these advantages:
LPG is well-known throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee
for its ability to do a variety of shapes and internal muntin grids.
Fire Rated Glass
LPG is now the proud distributor of Fire Rated Glass products from Vetrotech
Saint-Gobain. These products contain smoke and flames, provide thermal protection, and act as a barrier to heat.
SGG KERALITE FR-F is a specialty glass-ceramic fire- and impact safety-rated
material for use in fire-rated door, window, transom and borrowed lite
assemblies. A surface applied safety film is applied to achieve a CPSC CAT II
High Impact Safety Rating. Listed for applications with ratings from 20 minutes
to 3 hours.
SGG KERALITE FR-L is a specialty laminated glass-ceramic fire- and impact
safety-rated material for use in fire-rated door, window, transom and borrowed
lite assemblies. A CPSC CAT II High Impact Safety Rating is achieved by
laminating two lites of clear glass-ceramic. Listed for applications with ratings
from 20 minutes to 3 hours.
Laminated
Building Panels
For glazing, building material
and framing industries, LPG’s laminated building panels are
a great option.
This laminate was designed to bond to a wide variety of substrates
and exhibit excellent performance properties. High bond strengths,
resistance to shear and environmental stresses, and excellent long-span
performance are traits of our building panels.
Tempered Safety Glass
Known for
its quality and strength and safety, tempered safety glass is
four times stronger than annealed glass.
Our tempered glass has a process that heats the glass to
1150 degrees Farenheit. The glass is then cooled through a controlled
process to meet the highest standards. Our tempered glass is designed so that
if breakage occurs, potential harm to people and the surrounding
environment is minimized.
Spandrel Glass
For many years, spandrel
glass has been used to hide structural areas between floors
in a traditional spandrel glass application. Our
process, however, has created new standards for quality and
a dazzling array of colors and effects for spandrel glass. As
a result, this product delivers a stunning variety of economical
yet dramatic possiblities. Use it in place of tile for showers,
vanities, and kitchen walls.
Spandrel is safer than other glass and tile options because
the Silicone-based paint bonds permanently to glass and has excellent
adherence to many different wall surfaces.
